Plan to Visit Rome

22 For this reason (A)I also have been much hindered from coming to you. 23 But now no longer having a place in these parts, and (B)having a great desire these many years to come to you, 24 whenever I journey to Spain, [a]I shall come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, (C)and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may (D)enjoy your company for a while. 25 But now (E)I am going to Jerusalem to [b]minister to the saints. 26 For (F)it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. 27 It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For (G)if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, (H)their duty is also to minister to them in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them (I)this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain. 29 (J)But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing [c]of the gospel of Christ.

30 Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and (K)through the love of the Spirit, (L)that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me, 31 (M)that I may be delivered from those in Judea who [d]do not believe, and that (N)my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, 32 (O)that I may come to you with joy (P)by the will of God, and may (Q)be refreshed together with you. 33 Now (R)the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Sister Phoebe Commended

16 I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in (S)Cenchrea, (T)that you may receive her in the Lord (U)in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her in whatever business she has need of you; for indeed she has been a helper of many and of myself also.

Greeting Roman Saints

Greet (V)Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet (W)the church that is in their house.

Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is (X)the firstfruits of [e]Achaia to Christ. Greet Mary, who labored much for us. Greet Andronicus and Junia, my countrymen and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the (Y)apostles, who also (Z)were in Christ before me.

Greet Amplias, my beloved in the Lord. Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and Stachys, my beloved. 10 Greet Apelles, approved in Christ. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus. 11 Greet Herodion, my [f]countryman. Greet those who are of the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.

12 Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, who have labored in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, who labored much in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus, (AA)chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren who are with them. 15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.

16 (AB)Greet one another with a holy kiss. [g]The churches of Christ greet you.

Avoid Divisive Persons

17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those (AC)who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and (AD)avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord [h]Jesus Christ, but (AE)their own belly, and (AF)by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For (AG)your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be (AH)wise in what is good, and [i]simple concerning evil. 20 And (AI)the God of peace (AJ)will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

(AK)The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Greetings from Paul’s Friends

21 (AL)Timothy, my fellow worker, and (AM)Lucius, (AN)Jason, and (AO)Sosipater, my countrymen, greet you.

22 I, Tertius, who wrote this epistle, greet you in the Lord.

23 (AP)Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. (AQ)Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, a brother. 24 (AR)The[j] grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Benediction

25 [k]Now (AS)to Him who is able to establish you (AT)according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, (AU)according to the revelation of the mystery (AV)kept secret since the world began 26 but (AW)now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for (AX)obedience to the faith— 27 to (AY)God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.
